Special thanks to Matt H. for organizing a night of music for the residents at Brandywine!
I have received many last minute requests for extensions. As a potential member of National Honor Society you are expected to follow all instructions in the application. Members of the National Honor Society are expected to be organized, responsible, and able to adhere to deadlines. Applications were shared with eligible students at the end of June in order to avoid a last minute rush for signatures and character verification forms. All forms must be received by 2:20pm on September 16th or the application will be considered incomplete.
Please be advised that there is NO faculty character verification form. There seems to be some confusion around this issue. As specified in the NHS application all eligible students received at the end of June, you must submit Part G of the application to a mentor or supervisor for completion. That adult must fill out the form and mail it to HTHS (attn: Mrs. Gross, NHS).
I received the email below and was asked to pass it on to NHS members:

If you are interested in working with Friendship Train at their summer camp this summer please return the application by Friday morning.
The NHS recently received a letter from The Women's Exchange, a non-profit organization located in Little Silver. They are looking for volunteers during the summer and during the school year. The shop is open M-F from 10-5 and Saturday 10-1.
Student volunteers help customers with gift selection, ring up sales, wrap, tag items, and inventory computer inputting. During the summer flexible volunteer shifts are available. During the school year they have after school and/or Saturday shifts open.
